ISBN-13: 978-0764210006

When Karlina Richter finds out that a new shepherd will be sent to East Amana, she fears she’ll no longer be able to help her father with the sheep. She’ll be relegated back to kitchen work, a job she dislikes. Her fears increase when Anton Becker arrives and shows little interest in the flock–or in divulging why he’s been sent to East. Dare she trust Anton to help her father, or is he keeping secrets that will impact them all?

After learning that her father will be transferred from Cincinnati to a job in Texas, Dovie Cates decides she wants to visit the Amana Colonies, where her mother spent her formative years. She writes to relatives still living in the Colonies and is invited to spend some time there. Soon after her arrival, Dovie meets Berndt, the handsome young man who delivers bread to the kitchen house each day. But when Dovie begins to ask questions about her mother’s past, no one seems willing to tell her anything, so Dovie decides to take matters into her own hands. Will her decision spell disaster for her future with Berndt?

I hope that the Home to Amana Series are going to be done in audiobook form. I listened to the Daughters of Amana Series (actually, I have the three audiobooks. My husband’s family is from the Colonies and I would like to pass these on to my grandchildren and it is so much easier for me to listen to the story than to read them. I hope this is possible. Please say yes?????
Thank you so very much. Edie Ruedy (family from Middle Amana, Iowa)

I’m glad to learn about the books you
write. They remind me of the books of
    Tamera Alexander-I really enjoyed those.

Hi: Your Amana Series reminds me so much of the Amish which I also enjoy reading. How these groups of people are set in their own ways. All your books are great Judy & the ones that you co-author with Tracie Peterson. May God continue be with you as you work with this ministry. Do you mail books from your home signed & then let the person send you a money order for them. Thanks alot for all your wonderful reads.

    • jamauthor says:

Thanks for your kind words, Debbie. I don’t generally mail books from home, but if you’d like me to sign some bookplates that you can place inside your books, I’d be happy to sign them to you and mail them. Blessings, Judy
