Baa, Baa Black Sheep?

Little Bo Peep?

The Lord is My Shepherd?

My newest release, A Hidden Truth, has very recently hit the boostore shelves, but the REAL hidden truth is that after writing this book, I have a BAAAAAD case of sheep affection. Sheep played a major role in this book and in the lives of the good folks who lived in East Amana back in 1892. While I was writing this book, I became increasingly aware of how much each of us need the Good Shepherd’s touch in our lives. So, to celebrate the release of A Hidden Truth, I’ve sent out a flock of traveling books.

For those of you who haven’t seen any of this information on my website, let me direct you to my contest page where you can read a little more about the traveling books that I sometimes refer to as traveling “sheep.”  I’m tracking those wandering sheep to see how far they’ll get by December 15 and I’m updating their travels at my website on the “flock” page. So please come on out from time to time and watch their travels. I’m also going to have a drawing on December 15 of 50 random entries of readers who fill out the form on my contest page and tell me their favorite character or some way the Good Shepherd has touched their life. From time to time over the next few months, I’ll be blogging about the sheep and their travels both here and on Writes of Passage

Today, I’m kicking off by letting you know that the ”sheep” have escaped. To be honest, I knew something had gone amiss when I saw a group of those ornery sheep pretending to guard several copies of A Hidden Truth.  Everything appeared much too organized and calm. Right then, I should have realized those cute little sheep weren’t protecting the books–they were actually wolves in sheep’s clothing who planned to help my sheep escape. I mean, look at that one on top–I think he’s actually waving.

Before I knew what was happening, the sheep were loaded into the car and off they went. They even snapped pictures at the post office to prove they’d been successful in the escape. And look at the postman–he appears pleased to be helping them along the way. From what I hear, they’ve scattered across the country and one of them even managed to sneak aboard a flight headed for Australia, though I think he may have gotten lost in baggage claim. At least there was word something had gone baaaaad along the way.

I hope you’ll join in the fun and leave your comments about the book in the reply space provided and also check to see the progress of the sheep over the next few months.

May you find joy as you permit the Good Shepherd to touch your life.

I’m definatly going to read more of your books. Probably the Daughters of Amana’ series first, since Amana is what I’m so fascinated with right now.
